What's the best type of Elementalist armor for PvP, PvE ect. (Archmages, Battlemages etc?)

Hmm, I'd say tempest armor is the best choice, for the +AL while enchanted comes to good use.

It is a pretty good bet that you'll have an enchantment running most of the time, whether it is an attunement, Ether Prodigy, Aura of Restoration or something so that would be a good choice since it is +AL vs everything.

Elementalists generally try to stay out of melee and so that means arrows and spells coming your way so choosing an elemental armor can net you more AL vs specific types. Before Factions came out I chose Hydro figuring it was good in the mountains and also the fire islands when there would most likely be a ranger with winter on the team.
